Help & Support
Everything below is on one page so you can search it with your browser. If the answer is not here, send us a message and you will get a reply.
Getting started
- 1
Connect a library
Open Connect from the menu and link Steam, Epic, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation or itch.io. Steam only needs your Steam ID or vanity URL. Platforms without a usable API — Ubisoft, EA, Battle.net — have an Add manually option instead.
- 2
Create a group, or join one
From Groups, create a group and share its invite link, or paste a link a friend sent you. Everyone in the group links their own libraries once.
- 3
Open the group and see what you share
The group page lists the games your crew has in common, with filters, a random picker, polls, scheduled sessions and prices. It updates itself as people connect more libraries.
Common questions
Is Lobbii free?
Yes. Every feature is free to use and there is no credit card, no trial and no premium tier. Lobbii is built by one developer for gaming groups; if it ever links to a store, that link is marked as an affiliate link.
Which platforms can I connect?
Steam (by Steam ID or vanity URL), Epic Games, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation and itch.io sync automatically. Ubisoft Connect, EA and Battle.net have no library API we can use, so you add those games by name — it takes a minute. Games on every platform show up together in your groups.
Does Lobbii ever see my Steam or store password?
No. Steam only needs your public Steam ID. Epic and GOG use the same paste-a-code login flow that Playnite and Heroic use, and Xbox, PlayStation and itch.io use a personal read-only key you generate yourself. You never type a store password into Lobbii.
Do my friends need accounts too?
To find the games a whole group owns, yes — each person links their own libraries once, then every group they join is up to date automatically. If you just want a quick check with one friend, the Compare tool works with two Steam IDs and no account at all.
My Steam library shows nothing, or is missing games.
Steam only shares a library with third parties when the profile and its Game details are set to Public. Change that in your Steam privacy settings and press Refresh on the Libraries page. Free-to-play games you have never launched are not listed by Steam, so they will not appear either.
What does Lobbii do beyond listing shared games?
It helps the game night actually happen: mark yourself Down to Play, run a quick poll on what to play, schedule sessions with reminders, set up a tournament bracket, chat with the group, and get a heads-up when a game your crew wants goes on sale.
Is there a mobile app?
Lobbii works in any browser on any device, and there is an Android app with push notifications for session reminders and group activity. You can also add the website to your home screen on iPhone.
What data do you store, and can I delete it?
Your account, the list of games in each library you connect, your groups and the things you do in them. No store passwords are ever stored. You can disconnect any platform at any time, and Delete Account in Settings removes everything permanently.
Finding games together
What is the difference between the two views on a group page?
"Everyone Has" shows only the games every active member owns, which is the safe list for a game night. The other view shows everything in the group's combined libraries, with the games more than one of you own listed first and solo-owned games below.
Can I leave someone out without removing them?
Yes. Tap the small eye icon on a member's avatar to mute them. Their library stops counting toward the shared list while they are muted, which is useful when someone cannot make tonight. Tap it again to bring them back.
We share games through Steam Family. Does that count?
It can. In group settings you can put members who share a household on the same household label. A game one of them owns then shows as playable by the others through the shared copy, instead of being listed as missing.
We cannot decide what to play.
Use Pick for Me for a weighted random choice from the games you can actually all play. Play tonight tries progressively wider filters until something matches. Quick play narrows to short games that fit an evening, and the mood chips are one-tap lenses like co-op or chill.
Can I save a set of filters?
Yes. Set the filters you want, open the Filters sheet and save them as a preset. Presets are per person, so yours do not change what anyone else sees.
Running your group
How do invites work?
Every group has an invite link you can copy from the group page and paste anywhere. Anyone who opens it sees the group and can join. If a link gets out, the owner can revoke it or generate a new one in group settings, which makes the old link stop working immediately.
What can we do beyond the shared list?
Mark yourself Down to Play so the group knows you are around, run a poll on what to play, schedule a session with reminders, start a tournament bracket, and chat in the group. There is also an activity feed and a recap of the last 30 days.
Who can remove people or rename the group?
The group owner, from the group page and group settings. Anyone can leave a group themselves using the Leave button.
Prices and deals
Where do the prices come from?
IsThereAnyDeal, which covers most stores. Open any game to see the current cheapest offers and a link to the full comparison. Prices are cached for a while, so a very fresh sale can take a few minutes to appear.
Can I be told when a game goes on sale?
Yes. Open a game and use the watch button to add it to your group's price watches. When it drops you get a notification, if price drop alerts are switched on in Settings.
Are the store buttons affiliate links?
Some of them, and they are labelled as such wherever they appear. If you buy through one, Lobbii may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price comparison itself is neutral and lists every store, affiliate or not.
Can I sync my Steam wishlist?
Yes, from the Connect page. Wishlisted games feed the group's "most wanted" view and the buy-together suggestions, so you can spot the game several of you want but nobody owns.
Notifications, privacy and your data
What notifications will I get, and how do I turn them off?
Settings has a switch for each kind: direct messages, game sessions, price drops, group activity, your yearly Rewind, push notifications on the phone app, the weekly email digest, and the occasional Lobbii newsletter. They are all independent and all optional.
Who can see my profile?
You choose in Settings. A public profile is visible to anyone signed in; the other setting limits it to your friends. Your group-mates always see your display name and the games you own that the group shares.
How do I disconnect a platform or delete my account?
Disconnect any platform from the Connect page, which also removes those games from your groups. Delete Account in Settings removes everything permanently.
When something looks wrong
My Steam library is empty or missing games.
Steam only shares a library when both your profile and its Game details are set to Public, in Steam privacy settings. Change that and press Refresh on the Connect page. Free-to-play games you have never launched are not included by Steam at all.
Some games show as "Steam App 3892270" instead of a name.
That happens when Steam hides a game's name from the library API. A nightly job looks those up and fills in the real title and cover art, so they usually fix themselves within a day. Tell us if one is still wrong after that.
A game has no cover art.
Use Fetch Art on the Connect page. It looks up missing artwork for games from stores that do not provide it, and the result is shared with everyone who owns that game.
A platform says my session expired.
The tokens some stores issue are short-lived, and Epic, GOG, PlayStation and Xbox all expire eventually. Reconnect that platform from the Connect page and your library syncs again. Nothing is lost while it is expired.
A friend joined but their games are not showing.
They need to connect at least one library of their own, from Connect. Until they do, the group has nothing of theirs to compare. Check they are not muted, too.
